Learning outcome

After the course, you should be able to explain what characterizes a project and how it differs from operational tasks. You will understand why project management is essential for success, and how projects are organized with clear roles and responsibilities. You will gain insight into how project models are used to plan, manage and follow up projects in a structured way, and how a healthy project environment and a well-functioning project factory contribute to good results.

You will be able to prepare and use a business case as a basis for decision-making, plan and implement projects efficiently from start to finish, and handle uncertainties, threats and opportunities along the way. Furthermore, you will learn how good project ownership ensures control and progress, and how experience transfer and learning from previous projects contribute to increased success in future initiatives.

Otto Husby

Otto Husby is the CEO of The Project Academy AS and has led the development of the Project Certificate and several other project management courses. He has a master's degree in engineering and has more than 25 years of experience in project management from a variety of industries, including industry, energy, IT and the public sector. Husby has previously been Project Director at Metier and has worked with consulting, teaching and implementation of best practice in project management for many large Norwegian and international companies.
