NITO students invite their members and young working NITO members to a permanent event every other Tuesday (from 1 September 2026) for a free event in Future Classroom in Park in Hamar.
Welcome to 3D printing, modelling and figure painting
We invite you to learn 3D printing and modeling. Maybe you have something you would like to model? Then you have the opportunity to submit 3D models for printing in advance so that you have a 3D model ready for painting the day of the event. See how to submit models under important information further down the page.
Figure painting – equipment and painting
You are welcome to bring your own figure paint, but we also provide a decent selection of brushes, a larger set of speed painting figure paints and a smaller set of traditional figure paints.
Here there is room to both learn, test and enjoy painting.
Test 3D modeling
During the event, we will make it possible to try out 3D modeling using VR headsets, on computers or tablets, providing a low-threshold entry point into 3D modeling – perfect for curious beginners.
Inspiration and Game School Expo
We show student work from last year, where students have printed and painted 3D models for Game School Expo 2026. This provides a great opportunity to be inspired, warm up creativity and contribute with your own work to the next Game School Expo in May 2027.
Future classroom offers many opportunities
There will also be the opportunity for other activities in Future Classroom, such as VR headsets, Mario Kart on Switch etc.

Submitting models in advance is optional.

- The online form closes on 6 April at 12:00
- Each participant can submit up to 3 models. We try to prioritize so that everyone gets at least one model printed on time. In the online form you will find instructions for preparing 3D models for printing.
- The prints are made of PLA (not resin).
If you do not want to submit your own 3D models, we have pre-printed models that can be primed, painted or customized as you wish. This makes the activity accessible to everyone – regardless of prior knowledge.
