Young in Industry at Raufoss

Do you want to get to know other young people in the industry, expand your network and gain new perspectives on the industry of the future? Then Young in Industry is the event for you! Here we gather young professionals, students and others with an interest in the industry for an informal and social meeting place with good conversations, networking and simple refreshments.

For NITO members and students, this is a good opportunity to meet others with the same interests, gain new perspectives and get to know an exciting academic and working environment in the region.

The Young in Industry program is from 14.30 - 17.00, where you can meet young people who work in the industry and get to know them and their everyday work better - and end with a snack and good drinks.

Prior to the event, you can attend:

11.30 - 12.00: Light lunch
12.00 - 13.00: Inspirational lecture with Harald Eia - "The Big WE"
13.15 - 14.15: Get to know Raufoss Industrial Park with a guided bus tour

What is really hidden behind the gates of Raufoss Industrial Park?

Join a guided bus tour, where you can get to know one of Norway's largest industrial parks - with over 50 companies, 3000 employees and products that are exported all over the world. Here you get an insight into both the history, everyday life and future of one of Norway's most exciting industrial environments.

The industrial environment at Raufoss has roots back to the early 1900s, with ammunition production as a starting point. Over the course of 130 years, the industry has developed into a modern, high-tech industrial park known for its combination of tradition, innovation and collaboration.

Today, the growth is great. New players are establishing themselves, and more and more young professionals are finding their way into the industry.
Some of the people who work in the Industrial Park today will be met after the bus trip, during the Young in Industry event.
