In a few intense hours, you will meet several of the professionals who work on the front lines of space technology, satellites, artificial intelligence and advanced sensors.
Space travel is no longer just for astronauts and rocket scientists. The technology is developed by engineers in electronics, materials technology, software, energy, navigation and communication. And a lot of that development is happening right now.
2026 marked a historic space year in Norway, and it explores how space research drives technology development on Earth and how Norwegian engineers contribute to the space industry of the future.
This will be a conference on technology, curiosity and engineering – from the laboratory to orbit around the Earth.
"Welcome to an evening where we raise our sights with the theme "Technology in Space", says the working group for Sørlandet's engineering conference 2027, which consists of Marianne Mathiassen, Trond Arne Velund and Eirik Lundevold.
