Find out if you can become a NITO member

Not sure if you qualify for NITO membership? It's easy to check. Just answer a few questions.

Answer these questions.

What kind of education do you have?

Do you have at least 60 credits in engineering or technology?

By technological subjects, we mean those that are relevant to engineering studies, so-called MNT subjects. These are mathematical, natural sciences and technology subjects.

Select the highest completed education:
  • In the case of a trade certificate or education with at least 60 credits at a vocational school, you must generally have six years of seniority in an engineering or technology position
How many years have you worked as an engineer/technologist?

Did you study in one of these fields?

IT & Digitalization
Building (and construction)
Electrical
Industry and manufacturing
Machine
Mathematics and science
Chemistry
Physics
Health:
- Biomedical laboratory technician
- Orthopedics
- Optometry
- Pharmacy
- Biotechnology

Do you work in a technology environment with engineers and technologists?
  • In addition, to satisfy the membership criteria, you must work in an engineering/technology position or an interdisciplinary technological environment.

Does your position have a professional responsibility that normally requires at least a bachelor's degree?

Thank you for your interest, but unfortunately you cannot become a member of NITO.

Membership in NITO requires some higher technological education. Unfortunately, work experience alone is not sufficient

Even if you cannot become a member of NITO at present, we hope that you will find a trade union that is right for you at your workplace
