How the course is structured

The course takes you through a practical introduction to generative AI and how language models work. You start with a basic understanding of what models are, how they are built, and how you can use them in practice.

Furthermore, you will work with the functions of language models such as ChatGPT, and learn how to use them actively for text, analysis and problem solving. You will also gain experience with multimodal models, where text, images and sound are combined in the same workflow.

Towards the end of the course, you will learn how to customize language models through preferences, memory and your own setups, as well as how to build your own solutions based on your needs. The course ends with a summary and further direction for the use of the technology.

Learning outcome

After the course, you will have a good understanding of what language models are and how they work, including how they are trained and what concepts are central to their use.

You will learn how to use tools such as ChatGPT and similar models to analyse, write and solve problems, and how to work with different types of models in practice. You will also gain experience with functions such as search, file upload and code analysis.

Furthermore, you will develop competence in using AI for data analysis, visualization and content production, including working with images, video and multimodal interfaces. The course provides a practical introduction to how artificial intelligence can be used in everyday work. You start with an introduction to what language models are, how they work, and how you can work more efficiently with the correct use of prompts.

Furthermore, you will work with specific tasks such as e-mail, meetings, documents and content production. You will learn how to use AI to summarize, write, structure and improve text, as well as how to use the tool to follow up tasks and meetings.

In the last parts of the course, you will work with content production and publishing, including how to create articles, optimize text for search and share content in channels such as LinkedIn. The course ends with a summary and how you can apply what you have learned further in your own workday.

After the course, you will be able to use artificial intelligence as a practical tool in your everyday work. You will learn how to handle email and communication more efficiently, plan and follow up on meetings, and structure and produce documents and reports.
